'The Last Stand' Movie Premiere

Shin Min Ah, Lee Byun Hun, No Min Woo, Lee Young Eun, Yoon So Yi, Ji Sung, Koo Hye Sun, Jun Hye Bin, Kim Go Eun, Kim Si Hun, Kim Ji Hoon and Ma Dong Suk attended The Last Stand movie premiere on February 13th.

The movie, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, is about the leader of a drug cartel who busts out of a courthouse and speeds to the Mexican border, where the only thing in his path is a sheriff and his inexperienced staff. Directed by Kim Jee Woon (The Good, the Bad and the Weird; A Bittersweet Life), the movie has already received positive reviews from critics and marks the return of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger!

Gaon Chart K-pop Awards Red Carpet

On February 13th, was held the Gaon Chart K-pop Awards and many top k-pop artists attended the event: Yubin, GD, Ga In, Ailee, Taeyang, Lee Hi, Tiffany, Ahn Hye Kyung, Oh Cho Hee, Bae So Eun, Double K and Kim Seul Gi.

The Gaon Awards is a major music awards show is South Korea held annually and focus more on songs and albums than on musicians. This year categories and winners are :

'IRIS 2' Drama Press Conference

On February 7th, the cast of the very expected drama IRIS 2, the sequel of the amazing IRIS, attended the press conference including Jang Hyuk (^-^), Lee Da Hee, Oh Yun Soo, Lee Bum Soo, Lee Joon (♥), Yoon So Yi, Im Soo Hyang, Yoon Doo Jonn, Kim Young Chul and the drama OST singers Davinchi.

The story takes place three years after the death of Hyun Joo (Lee Hyun Byun) and will reveal mystery surrounding his death. Agent Yoo Gun (Jang Hyuk) is now the NSS TF-A team. While he goes up against Baek San (Kim Young Chul), he becomes involve in a case which changes his fate forever. The plot will also outline Mister Black, who controls everything through Baek San.

I have so many questions concerning the end of IRIS, and now after three long years, I may get all the answers (above all concerning the shocking last minute death of Hyun Joo). I am a bit sad that only the bad guys remains the same from the first season to this second one, because Lee Hyun Byun and especially Kim So Yeon were my favorite characters, I was at least expecting to see Kim So Yeon in this drama and what was my surprise when I saw her name in the casting list. So my discontent didn't last long, particularly after I discovered the amazing casting for IRIS 2. Jang Hyuk (Tree with deep root, Chuno), Lee Da Hee (Chuno, My Girl), Lee Joon (Ninja Assassin), Oh Yun Soo (Jumong, Bad Guy), and additional casts that are all very talented actors, and I always had pleasure to watch them.Thus I am really excited and very much expecting a lot from this drama, which will be release on korean TV next week. What about you ?

'New World' Movie Premiere

Korean top celebrities Ha Ji Won, Park Shi Woo, Kim Hyun Joon, Lee Se Young, Park Yoo Hwan, Bada, Lee Dong Wook, Jung Woo Sung and many other attended New World movie VIP premiere on February 6th.

New World is the story of a dectective (Lee Jung Jae) who goes undercover to become the #3 highest ranked member of crime gang. After the boss of the gang dies, the undercover detective suffers internal conflict between the #2 highest ranked member of the crime gang (Hwang Jung Min) who believes in him, and a high-ranking officer from the police organization (Choi Min Sik (the actor of Oldboy)) who considers him as merely a pawn.

The casting is superb, for a movie that seems to be interesting and intriguing - quite similar to the amazing movie The Departed (maybe?). I am really looking forward to watch it, and you ? Its release in Korea is on February 21st.
